Hemp burger with hemp patty
Made with Love & Hemp Protein
You need these ingredients
for your
hemp burger
For the buns
🍔 50 g Quark 🍔 1 Egg 🍔 1 tsp Salt 🍔 220 g Spelt flour 🍔 30 g Hemp protein powder 🍔 1 sachet baking powder 🍔 2 tbsp milk 🍔 4 tbsp Sesame seeds
For the patties
🍔 600 g Minced beef 🍔 1/2 Onion, very finely diced 🍔 1 tsp Hemp nuts, shelled 🍔 1 Garlic clove, finely chopped 🍔 2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves, finely chopped 🍔 2 Eggs 🍔 1 tsp Tomato paste 🍔 2 tsp fine salt 🍔 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
To occupy
🍔 Cucumber 🍔 Tomato 🍔 Lettuce or rocket 🍔 1 halbe Avocado 🍔 1-2 Onion slices
How it works
- Mix together the quark, egg, salt & hemp protein powder
- Mix the flour with the baking powder and gradually add to the quark mixture
- Knead a homogeneous dough with the dough hook of the hand mixer
- Sprinkle the work surface with flour and knead the dough thoroughly again with your hands
- Cover the finished dough with a cloth and leave to rest in a warm place for approx. 10 minutes
- Shape the dough into a roll and divide into equal pieces, depending on how big you want your buns to be
- Place the dough pieces on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush with milk and sesame seeds
- Bake the buns in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for approx. 30 minutes until they have a nice golden brown color
- Tip: For optimum results, place a bowl of water in the oven
- Place the minced meat in a bowl and add the spices, onion, garlic, eggs, hemp nuts and tomato puree
- Mix everything well and season with salt and pepper
- Then shape the mixture into patties. Fry for approx. 2-3 minutes on each side at a high temperature and leave to cook for a moment at a low temperature
- Slice the buns and top with the appropriate ingredients
- If you have a contact grill at home, you can also toast the buns again briefly on the inside until crispy. This gives the burger that extra bite 🙂
