How it works
- Mix the lukewarm milk with the yeast
- Place the flour in a bowl, make a well in the middle and stir in the yeast mixture to make a starter dough
- Dust with flour and leave to rise in a warm place for approx. 20 minutes
- Gradually add the water and 2 tablespoons of oil, knead well until a homogeneous dough is formed
- Cover and leave to stand for at least 1.5 hours, preferably longer
- Add spices & parmesan as desired and knead the dough again
- Dice the olives, briefly boil the sun-dried tomatoes, drain & chop into small pieces
- Knead the tomatoes & olives into the dough too
- Divide the dough into 2 to 4 equal pieces and shape into long loaves
- Line the tray with baking paper and place the loaves on it
- Leave to rest in the oven at 40°C for approx. 1 hour
- Brush the bread with hemp oil, then sprinkle with hemp nuts & herbs
- Bake at 220°C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 25 minutes
If you prepare the dough the day before, the bread will be wonderfully fluffy.
