Stressful everyday life and still cooking fresh

You probably know this question too:
What do we want to eat today? It’s been a long day, you’ve worked too much and now you don’t feel like spending hours in the kitchen. A healthy diet? Nice to have, but today the frozen pizza will do! Just like the kebab yesterday and the tin of ravioli the day before…
Wait a minute – there’s another way! There are lots of delicious recipes that are not only quick but also really healthy. And because you are here at HanfHaus, we are of course presenting recipes with various hemp products! How could it be any different?
First of all, something basic: of course cooking is work, but there are a few tips on how to make it fun even after a busy day:
- Cooking together with your loved one, family or friends is so much more enjoyable.
- Good organization and preparation are the be-all and end-all when cooking! Prepare something in the morning, e.g. you can already mix dressings or marinate something. Then it won't be so much work in the evening. Healthy bowls are particularly easy to prepare.
- Don't be afraid to cook for two or three days, a well-stocked freezer helps when nothing works.
- A good snack with lots of raw vegetables is also an alternative
- Last but not least: rethink! If you cook healthily, you are doing something good for yourself. And if you don't just see cooking as a chore, you'll enjoy it much more quickly!
As promised, we have also put together some recipes for you. And since all beginnings are difficult – even when cooking – let’s start with something simple:
Hemp oil balsamic dressing
- 2 tablespoons hemp oil
- 2 tablespoons high-quality olive oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp wild berry jam
- 1 tsp plain mustard (serves as an emulsifier)
- Salt & pepper to taste
Put all the ingredients in a dressing shaker and shake until well combined. Then pour over a fresh leaf salad (also with tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, etc.) – done!
TIP: If you put all the dressing ingredients in a small “blender”, the oil foams a little and the dressing gets a slightly firmer consistency, which sticks very well to the salad 😉
Vegan spaghetti bolognese with hemp parmesan
- 500 g vegan minced meat
- 1 tin of organic tomatoes, chopped
- 1 ½ tbsp tomato puree
- 1 medium onion
- Garlic
- 200 ml water
- Italian herbs (fresh or frozen)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Seasoning of your choice (paprika powder is highly recommended)
- 500 g wholegrain spaghetti
- Hulled hemp seeds
Sauté the onions in a little sunflower oil until they are translucent. Then briefly fry the freshly pressed garlic. Add the vegan mince and tomato purée and stir well. Add the chopped tomatoes and water. Season with pepper, salt, paprika and the Italian herbs. Leave to simmer for approx. 30 mins. Meanwhile, bring the water for the spaghetti to the boil and season with salt. Cook the spaghetti until it is still slightly al dente and drain quickly. Serve on a plate and sprinkle with the peeled hemp seeds. A fresh leaf salad with our hemp oil balsamic dressing tastes wonderful with this dish.
TIP: Also works for non-vegans / vegetarians. Simply replace the vegan mince with 500 g organic minced beef.
TIP: Fresh mint adds a wonderful touch to the drink - serve with ice cubes and a colorful glass straw.
Smoothie with hemp protein powder
- 3 tbsp each of frozen mango, raspberries and strawberries (or another fruit of your choice)
- 1 tbsp hemp protein powder
- 50 ml orange juice
- 50 ml hemp milk, oat milk or almond milk
Puree the fruit in a blender or with a hand blender together with the hemp protein powder, milk and orange juice. If you don’t like it so cold, you can defrost the fruit beforehand or use fresh fruit directly.
